The Buena Onda hostel was right on the beach, in the sand, with shady coconut trees covering the whole area. Hammocks hung from every pole, volleyball court out in front and eccentric staff and owners to spread the good vibes. Right across the street they did fresh squeezed juice, any combination of fruits, for roughly US$1.50 per mug. The tortas were equally cheap and tasty.
We took the night bus down to Puerto Escondido. Multiple benefits to travelling at night: our accommodation was covered, we burned the travel hours at night, and it was much, much cooler.
