The tour I booked was priced for a group, but nobody else showed up, so I ended up with a private guide for 2 days. We explored the jungle with a machete, trying to hunt down the pigs that we could always hear grunting just out of vision, spotted many types of monkeys, tasted the various medicinal trees and got caught in torrential downpours. The macaws were definitely a highlight for me, but so hard to photograph.
